Rev. Sr. Silvia Biira, the South West Regional Superior for Daughters of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Congregation, says their Patron Saint is an inspiration of faith in Christ and shaped morals among the young people.
Known for commitment towards serving Christ, his Church and love for others through doing small deeds with Faith, St. Theresa of the Child Jesus, celebrated on October 1st, is the Patron Saint of the “Banyateresa Sisters” whose mother house is based in Fort-portal city in Fort-portal Diocese.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after Mass at Our Lady of Assumption Kasese Cathedral Church yesterday, Rev. Sr. Sylivia, asked Christians to emulate St. Theresa, the Doctor of the Church, who died young at 24 years but a manifestation that sainthood doesn’t mean age and big deeds but small work that reflects Christianity.
