The National Resistance Movement political party in Kasese district, has attributed their mobilization gaps and failing political candidatures in the area to disunity and not lack of support as earlier perceived by the party leadership in Bukonzo County East.
During a constituency conference at Kisinga Vocational Secondary school in Kisinga town council in Kasese district where members convened for a united and transformative path for the party flag bearers, the NRM party members unanimously decided to support flag bearers, including Dr. Julius Monday Rude who is vying for the Bukonzo County East parliamentary seat and Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for national presidency. In unison, the members said that after two decades without an NRM member of parliament, Bukonzo County East should return to the mainstream of national development,
Currently, the constituency has over 96.000 registered voters across the 240 polling stations, including-thousands of first-time and youthful voters from all the ten sub-counties. END
