A mean survey conducted by Kasese Guide radio indicate that some people in Kasese seem not differentiating the roles of the village party chairpersons and the local council one political heads.
As the NRM political party continues to give out motorcycles to their subcounty chairpersons and bicycles to their village heads, some people including Vincent Muthambo of Rukoki wonders why this government is discriminative on matters of easing the operations of local leaders.
Mr. Jackson Kule, the FDC leader at Solar Now stage in Kasese Municipality also wonders why NRM was supplying bicycles to their village leaders yet the money spent on the supplies is from Uganda`s taxes.
To Mr. Jackson the National NRM chairman and President of Uganda should not be discriminative but rather consider giving bicycles and motorcycles to all political party leaders the fact that they are Ugandans and people`s servants. Mr. Jackson speaking1……..
In his a dress to the media at Mayors gardens in Kasese Municipality yesterday, the acting Kasese district NRM Chairperson, Mr. Fred Businge Police said Bicycles are aimed at enabling NRM Leaders to mobilize for their partyahead of the 2026 general elections but also an indicator that their party wasn’t for liars but based on fulfilling pledges. Some of the Beneficiaries Mr. Alex Siwako and others from Busongora south hailed President Museveni and the NRM party for the support.
