National Resistance Movement Women leaders in Kasese Municipality have also acknowledged their support to the proposed idea of having the current party flag bearers endorsed as sole candidates in the forthcoming 2026 General Elections.
The leaders who gathered yesterday at White House Gardens in Kasese town said they would write a letter to the District NRM leadership expressing their appreciation to the current elected leaders from the Local Council I Chairperson to the President.
Hajat Farida Kaganda, the Kasese Municipality NRM Women League Chairperson said following the wonderful work done by the current leaders, there was no need to replace them with new flag bearers.
She recalled the 53 billion shillings that was recently injected in Kasese Municipality to modernize the roads under the USMID program, as a big boost to the Municipality that should not be taken for granted.

The Mulhondi Project has however received some criticism from a section of youth in Kasese Municipality who allege the proposal is favoring some individual candidates. End
