All National Resistance Movement –NRM electorates whose names got deleted during display of the register will be allowed to vote in NRM primaries scheduled on Friday this week.

According to a circular, signed by the deputy chairperson NRM electoral commission, Mr.Kigyagi Arimba John dated august 30th.2020 that was displayed to the media this afternoon by the acting Kasese District NRM Chairperson, Mr. Fred Businge Police at NRM offices in Kasese town, the party members who are missing in the register will be allowed to vote.

The circular which we obtained a copy, reads apart that for villages where there is no register, fresh registration is permitted with approval of the NRM Village Executive committee.
Mr. Police used the same platform warning candidates to desist against giving donations and bribes to the electorates, saying this may lead to election cancellation and petition.

Mr. Police said that according to the election guidelines, there shall be a demarcated polling station at every village, with a presiding officer that shall be in charge of each polling station assisted by polling assistant and police officers to enforce government standard operating procedures against COVID-19, including wearing face-masks and lining behind portraits of candidates in distance of two meters among others.
