As official campaigns for National Resistance Movement (NRM) flag bearers commence nationwide today, Kasese District NRM Administrative Secretary, Mr. Robert Mitse, has issued a stern warning to politicians against transporting non-residents to intimidate voters or hold unlawful processions.
The NRM’s 2025-2026 political and electoral roadmap sets the campaign period for MPs, Local Councilors (LCV), Councilors, Lord Councilors, Municipal Mayors, and Division Mayors from July 1st to July 14th, ahead of the July 16th elections.
Addressing the press at the party offices in Kasese town this afternoon, Mitse confirmed that the NRM Electoral Commission, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders are closely monitoring the electoral process in Kasese district.
He confirmed reports that two parliamentary NRM contenders in Bukonzo County West, including, Dr.Chrispas Kiyonga and Hon.Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga have refused joint rallies reaffirming that the candidates are acting in accordance to the secretariat law. Mr. Mitse speaking….
