Mr. Moses Muhindo, a street food vendor suspected to be a notorious thief, handed himself to police after the irritated local residents reportedly attempted to pounce on him at his home in Umoja cell in Kasese Municipality.
No official comment yet from police but Mr. Isaya Thembo, the local council one chair for Kitooro cell who doubles as the joint security committee chairperson for Nyakasanga Ward, confirmed that Mr. Moses, who has runs a restaurant adjacent to Skyz Bar and Lounge in Kasese Municipality, was rounded up at his home during a security operation this afternoon as he slaughtered two more goats as other several suspected stolen animals, were kept under cover. Mr. Isa Tusiime, the defense secretary for Kitooro cell, partlyblamed police for what he described as uncalled for police bond to suspects, adding that no goat has Mr. Moses ever brought to the Kasese Municipal abattoir. Mr. Tumusime speaking….. He also asked the locals to be more sensitive about meat or domestic animals and birds brought for business under suspicious means. END
