The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda, His Grace Dr. Stephen Samuel Kazimba Mugalu has said the fight against pregnancies among teens and early marriages doesn’t need mere talk but practical spiritual and physical interventions to safeguard the institution of family.
He was doubtful about the type and stability of families in future with the current sexual relationships among teens thereby, arguing parents, community members, political, cultural and religious leaders to directly intervene to reverse the trend.
In his summon yesterday at St. Paul’s Cathedral in South Rwenzori Diocese where he had been for pastoral visit since Thursday last week, His Grace Dr. Kazimba described child marriage as a direct attack on creation and education, and a threat to the lives of the young girls in question.
