Hon. Godfrey Baluku Kabbyanga, the state Minister for ICT and National guidance, has said the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda removed entry visa requirements at their respective boarders as part of efforts to increase trade between the two nations.
He said the two countries also agreed to remove entry visa fees on a joint basis to facilitate free movement of people.
Now Kabbyanga asked Ugandan officials to stop asking for Visas from Congolese citizens entering Uganda, emphasizing that crossing Boarders in East Africa should be free.
He made the remarks yesterday while officiating at the international Disability celebrations day of Bukonzo county west, where he also commissioned an emergency building donated by Malteser International and Graduation of over fifty students who completed skilling, held at Karambi Group of People with Disabilities offices in Kabuyiri A cell in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha town council.Hon. Hon.Kabbyanga said both nations agreed with the need to strengthen their bilateral ties to more effectively address the challenges the two nations were experiencing and advance the welfare of their citizens.
