The Kasese district Public Service Commission has treated as mere rumors reports that Kasese has vacant civil service positions, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
The Kasese district local council five chairperson recently told Kasese Guide Radio that the district had stayed long with un advertised for vacancies after the Kasese district Chief Administrative officer, Mr. Amis Masereka declined to declare them.
In an interview with this radio this morning, the Kasese district Public Service Commission chair, Mr. Lawrence Turuganya said his office acts on the submissions by the Chief Administrative Officer whose hands have kept slow to declare any vacancy.
Whereas there green indicators for vacant positions and funding at the district, Mr. Turuganya treats this as mere rumors now that no submission by the CAO are at his table. Mr. Turuganya speaking1…..
Mr. Turuganya who expressed commitment to work overtime to beat the financial year deadline, said that whereas they had protected his office`s redundancy and intended to keep home for more than a month, the Kasese Resident District Commissioner, Lt. Joe Walunsimbi called them back within two weeks.
He wonders why the office of the CAO had not seen it viable to submit for promotion the names of civil servants whose six months’ probation and promotions are long overdue. Mr. Turuganya speaking2……..
No official comment yet from the Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Amis Masereka about Mr. Turuganya`s comment but he had earlier said the concern was technically being handled. END
