By Francis Muhindo,
Mr. Selevest Masereka, the Kasese District Inspector of Schools, has warned head teacher, examination invigilators and supervisors against examination malpractices he said are unethical and punishable under the law.

He was concerned that some head teachers were currently consulting with the teachers they think could have been sent to their schools for supervision under Uganda National Examinations Board as Primary Leaving Examinations that begin tomorrow.

Addressing UNEB officials and head teachers at Kasese Primary School yesterday, Mr. Selevest announced harsh punishments including and not limited to disqualification of academic papers, licenses, cancellation of results and imprisonment of anybody involved in examination multi-practices. Mr. Selevest speaking…….
Mr Juma Ogwang from the Ministry of Education and Sports, was concerned that the results based on cheating can never be a true reflection of the children’s academic performance and therefore, misinform planners and decision makers during the planning process.
Mr Juma speaking……
The 2025 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) in Uganda, will start with candidate briefings tomorrow with the first papers being written on Monday where candidates will begin with Mathematics in the morning, followed by Social Studies and Religious Education in the afternoon. END
