    Newly ordained priest in the congregation of the Holy Cross Rev. Fr. Julius Baluku.

    The newly ordained priest in the congregation of the Holy Cross Rev. Fr. Julius Baluku CSC yesterday (09.Sep.2020) said his first thanksgiving Mass as a priest at his home in Kamaiba in Kasese Town with a call to pray for him to become a good shepherd and a loving priest.

    Fr. Julius Baluku was ordained together with his fellow priest Rev. Fr. Ponsiano Walugembe on 26th September 2020 at the Holy Cross Novitiate Lake Saake ground in Fortal Portal tourism city by the Ordinary of Fortal Portal diocese Rt. Rev. Robert Muhurwa Akiiki.

    Presiding over a homily the Vicar General Diocese of Kasese, Msgr Landaus Bwambale asked Fr. Julius to be a good shepherd who cares for his flock by working to save the life and spirit of Believers not for money saying the Lord who has chosen him will always protect and guide him in the ministry.     Fr. Landaus reminded priest not to be overtaken by their position and expect only happiness reminding the new priest that he should expect trails and temptation before he asked him to emulate prophet Jeremiah who withstand the earth temptations.

    Rev. Fr. Julius Baluku who hailed the almighty to choosing him among many despite of his body weaknesses said he was inspired by his parents, God parents, Fr. Augustine Masereka and Fr. Godfrey Kautha to join the priesthood life. Fr. Julius speaking ….

    The Parents of Fr. Julius, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Baluku Tereza asked their Son now their spiritual Father to do according to God’s will and fulfill his vows made before the alter before they encouraged parents and guardians to love their children and guiding them for a good future.     The Parish Priest for Kyarusonzi Parish, Fr. James Burasa CSC announced that Fr. Julius has been appointed to work in Kyarusonzi Parish where he will be given responsibility and that he shall say his first Mass at the Parish on 25th October 2020.

    The Kasese Municipal Member of Parliament, Hon. Robert Centenary who encouraged the young generation to aim higher in education later asked the locals in Kasese to support his initiative of disilting Nyamwamba River which has kept people’s lives at stake. Hon. Centenary speaking ……

    Meanwhile in the same development, Fr. Julius was today also celebrating his 30th birthday.

     Over thirty five diocesan Priest in the Diocese of Kasese and eleven Holy Cross priests among other religious leaders attended the thanksgiving Mass. END
