Former Member of Parliament for Kasese Municpality, Hon. Centenary Robert has expressed fear for taxation on coffee farmers after planned registration of coffee farmers by Government.
Speaking to Our Reporter in Kasese town Hon. Centenary said whereas registration of farmers was not bad he was fearing that Government could be doing this so that they give them TIN numbers that could attract tax and to him this could be extra burden to local farmers.

Meanwhile, Parliament has amended the coffee act of 1994 that includes offences and penalties to those who do not fulfill the recommended harvest procedures. END.nd notes that as a diocese they have been raising campaigns encouraging the community to plant trees. END.
