Kasese District Education Department has launched a new program titled “Drop everything and Read”-DEAR day in all Government grant aided secondary and primary schools.
The program is aimed at promoting the writing and reading culture among learners, teachers and the entire community neighboring the school.
Mr. Ernest Thabugha, the Kasese district Principal inspector of schools said the program launched this week at the district headquarters, has been allocated one hour every Wednesday in all schools from 12,00pm to 1.00pm respectively. Mr. Thabugha speaking………
He Said government was looking at every means to promote the reading culture that is deteriorating among many learners, asking schools for compliance if the program was to succeed. END
