The New Commissioner in Charge of Patriotism, Hellen Seku has called for loyalty and hard work amongst the youth for the socio-economic development of the nation.
Seku, who officially assumed office as the new Commissioner of Patriotism at the President’s office said the youth who form the largest part of the population have to be taught how to love their country if they are to become patriotic citizens who will fight corruption.
Seku who replaced Brigadier General Patrick Mwesigye said corruption hinders the development of the nation.
She promised to ensure the gospel of patriotism reaches every Ugandan in a move aimed at strengthening the love of the country.

Seku who also doubles as the Presidential Advisor on Youth Affairs expressed concerns that the youth are ideologically polluted saying, they don’t have a clear mindset.
She noted that they want to vaccinate this problem which is not only amongst the youth but also some of the civil servants. END.
