Kasese district has registered new twenty four positive COVID-19 cases with a call for total observance to the guidelines against the spread of the virus among community members, the Kasese district Covid-19 pandemic Surveillance team leader, Mr. Samuel Kabinga has confirmed.
Speaking to Kasese guide radio last evening, Mr. Kabinga who said the reported death in Kyondo subcounty was of a medic who died in Mulago National referral hospital, added that four of the positive cases from Kasese were in critical conditions at Buhinga regional hospital while the 20 were receiving home based care in the district.

Mr. Kabinga who was scared that the epidemic may spread in the next two weeks should the community keep reluctant in respecting the prescribing guidelines against COVID -19, asked the local population to monitor one another and present to health facilities any person with persistent flue, headache, fever and cough among other illnesses.
