Mr. Jamir Mukwaya, the President for Uganda herbalists Association has urged Herbal Medicine Practitioners in Kasese district to register with National Drug Authority.
Addressing herbalists during a one day training held at Kasese Multipurpose hall in Nyamwamba Division yesterday, Mr. Jamir advised them to ensure quality and add value to their medicine, in order to attract market for their products.
The herbalists were also asked to ensure they sell goods in a clean environment.
Jamir also said National Drug Authority would formulate a strategy to regulate and control the manufacturing and distribution of traditional medicine. Mr. Jamir speaking…….

Dr. Amon Baluku, the Kasese District Health Officer warned herbalists against false advertisements advising them to collaborate with government while executing their duties to avoid embracement.
