A truck registration number UBJ 625X belonging to National Medical Stores has overturned in Kamdini killing the driver on spot.
The ill-fated truck was carrying a consignment of medicines from Kampala to Lira when it was involved in the accident at Elolo just after the Kamdini corner.
Witnesses said that the unidentified deceased driver was overtaking another truck when he accidentally brushed against it, lost control, and then overturned.
Police responded to the scene, but they have not yet released a report on what caused the accident though rushed for plans to protect the dispersed medications.
Truck drivers who spoke to this website, attributed accident to the poor state of the road saying that it is narrow and not easy to overtake. END
