Rt. Rev. Egidio Nkaijanabwo, the Bishop Emeritus Diocese of Kasese has urged believers in Christ and Namugongo pilgrims from Diocese of Kasese to carry with no hesitation the mission of Christ despite the deadly challenges they may encounter.
According to this year diocese of Fort Portal is the host, the foot pilgrim’s coordinator, Rev. Fr. Titus Winyi said foot Pilgrims from the Fort Portal and other neighboring dioceses including Diocese of Kasese shall be flagged off for their nine days journey to Namugongo on 23rd May, by Bishop Robert Muhirwa at 3pm at Virika Cathedral.
In his homily while Presiding over Holy Mass for closing five days conference and blessing both those who shall travel by vehicles and diocesan foot pilgrims at Uganda Martyrs Nyakasanga Catholic Church in Kasese town this morning, Bishop Egidio asked Christians to die for the truth of Christ through emulating the earthly life of the Uganda Martyrs whom he said fulfilled their obligation of spreading Christianity in Uganda.
