    Namasuba headteacher arrested in Butambala over exam malpractice

    Mbayo Mamba, the headteacher of Namasuba Parents Primary School in Wakiso district is in trouble for allegedly attempting to illegally open a sealed Primary Leaving Examination-PLE parcel. 

    He was picked up from Butambala District where he had hatched a plot with Chris Rutayisire, an examination distributor, and Micheal Mulindwa, the driver of the van that was hired by the Uganda National Examinations Board-UNEB to transport transcripts to four schools.

    UNEB Spokesperson, Jennifer Kalule explains that after their arrest, the suspects were dragged to the Criminal Investigations Directorate in Kibuli for interrogations. Ms. Kalule on Examinations….

    According to Kalule, the suspects had set up the gadgets that they were going to use to facilitate their malpractice including a machine they would use to reseal the parcel.

    She, however, says that UNEB officials and police arrived in time after receiving a tip-off from a whistleblower. End.
