Mr. Augustine Muthabalhi is the newly elected Kasese Cathedral head of laity, replacing Mr. Deogen Twebaze, Kasese Guide Radio can reliably report.
Speaking to our reporter shortly after chairing the elections at the cathedral ground yesterday, the Kasese Cathedral Rector, Rev. Fr. Joseph Kirungi commended the outgoing executive for the work well done, saying her successor has the task to windup what was incomplete and initiate more for both physical and Spiritual nourishment of the parish.
Fr. Kirungi later asked the new executive members to promote team work, be humble and live exemplary, especially making their families point of references to give reason why they have been chosen among many. Fr. Kirungi speaking……
In his maiden speech, Mr. Muthabali, hailed the Christians for entrusting him with the leadership mantle, saying his efforts will focus mainly on uniting the lay faithful to ensure the completion of the new Cathedral. Mr. Muthabali speaking ….
Mr. Deogen, the outgoing head of laity, asked the new executive to be a link between the Christians and parish leadership before pledging his total support and guidance where need be.
Among other executive members include; Ms. Emmanuelina Ithungu, the vice chair, Sarapio Boosi, as the secretary, Ms Susan Kabugho comes on board as the Vice Secretary and the Parish Priest, as the treasurer. END
