Hajjat Halima Nakasa Nalongo, a woman leader at Lake Katwe Mosque in Katwe-Kabatooro town council has asked Moslems to educate their children as means to make them competitive for future roles.
Speaking to Kasese Guide radio this afternoon, Hajat Halima was quick to reason that gone were days when Moslem girls and boys would be encouraged to marry at 13 and 15 years respectively, a move she said had left many in stressing marriages and petty jobs.
She asked Moslem parents and guardians to have their children complete school so as to ably serve their nation. Hajat Halima speaking1……
Ms Halima later defended what she called the respectful dressing code among Moslem women and girls which she said was not only preparing them for Jannah but protects them from sexual harassments from selfish men who may want to take advantage of the vulnerable creatures of Allah. She also said men are separated from women during their public functions and prayers mainly because during worship, nothing should distract them from focusing on God. END
