President Museveni has reaffirmed his commitment to crash those he called agents of corruption whose dirty acts he revealed could have entered State House of recent.
During his state of the Nation address at Kololo independence grounds this afternoon, President Museveni reminded Ugandans of the NRM’s philosophy, ideology and strategy that include among others; prosperity, patriotism, pan Africanism, social economic transformation and democracy, before strongly warning corrupt leaders whom he said frustrate government plans turn Uganda into a fully middle income status. President Museveni later said corruption in Uganda had been accelerated by those he called money hungry parasites, the money lenders, who charge exorbitant interest rates to community members in dare money needs, revealing that he had already directed the Minister of Finance to take them on. He however commended some African leaders who had enabled Uganda revive cross border trade through East African community whose integration should be promoted as earlier on planned by the late Mwalimu Julius Nyerere, the former president of Tanzania.

The President who reminded the country of the need to promote the 3Cs (coffee, copper and cotton and 3Ts (tobacco, tea), also warned that no raw materials should be exported but rather work towards adding value to Ugandan products. Earlier, the Rt. Hon. Anita Anet Among, Speaker of Parliament had commended President Museveni for supporting sports in the country by majorly renovating at Mandela and Nakivubo national stadiums. END
