President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has asked the Rwenzururu King His Majesty Charles Wisley Mumbere Iremangoma to collaborate with government in the fight against Poverty in his Kingdom.
This was contained in a message read by the Vice President of Uganda, Her Excellency, Rtd. Major Jesca Alupo, who represented Museveni as chief guest at the 58th Coronation Anniversary of Obusinga –Bwa Rwenzururu held this afternoon at Kilembe Golf Course in Kasese Municipality.
He commended all the Banya Rwenzururu for loving their king, but urged them to preserve their cultural sites including Bulembia where the late Isaya Mukirania is buried, which she said could be turned into a tourism potentials to earn money for both Rwenzururu subjects and the cultural institution. In his remarks, Omusinga requested President Museveni through the Ministry of Education and sports to help the Kingdom revamp Rwenzururu Heritage University to fight illiteracy, but also reminded his subjects to embrace Unity, Peace, reconciliation and social economic transformation Omusinga speaking….
