President Museveni has congratulated Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on her re-election, pledging continued cooperation between the two East African neighbors.
Museveni said Suluhu’s victory reflects the Tanzanian people’s confidence in her leadership.
He also reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Tanzania in trade, infrastructure, and regional integration for the benefit of both countries.
Meanwhile, The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has unveiled a revised handbook to strengthen the prosecution of property-grabbing crimes, which continue to affect widows, orphans, and other vulnerable groups in Uganda. The Revised Prosecutors’ Handbook on Property Grabbing Crimes (2025) was launched today in Kampala by the Director of Public Prosecutions, Lady Justice Jane Frances Abodo.
The guide was developed by the ODPP in partnership with Redeem International and the International Justice Mission (IJM). END
