President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has commended Rt. Rev. Joseph Anthony Zziwa, the Bishop of Kiyinda-Mityana Diocese for working with his government in fighting poverty through socio-economic development programs.
The President who made the remarks while meeting the Bishop at State House, Entebbe this week, advised the Diocese to guide people to select suitable and profitable enterprises that could benefit them such as growing coffee and rearing cows for milk, among others.
For his part, Bishop Zziwa who also doubles as the Chairman of the Episcopal Conference, thanked Museveni for being instrumental in promoting mechanized farming not only Mityana but also in other parts of the country, noting that whatever the diocese does, is hinged on its slogan: ‘Let us be witness to Christ in our homes, schools, and at work” by forming an integral person who is morally, socially, religiously, and economically sound.
