President Museveni has appointed Frank Nyakaana Rusa as the acting executive director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA).
Mr. Rusa is expected to steer the besieged City Hall in the wake of Dorothy Kisaka’s decisive sacking on Tuesday.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was confirmed today in a letter by the Presidency.
Accordingly, the terms and conditions of Rusa’s current appointment will include making quarterly reports to the Head of Public Service and Secretary to Cabinet, as well as the Minister in charge of Kampala Capital City Authority.
He takes over in acting capacity, from Dorothy Kisaka who was dismissed together with her Deputy Eng. David Luyimbazi and Dr.Daniel Okello, the director of Public Health by the President this week over negligence prior to Kiteezi landfill which claimed lives of over 30 people. END.
