Mr. Julius Baluku, the branch manager for Equity Bank in Kasese has warned the local residents against multiple loans he says do not only put them to unnecessary pressure but multiples interests frustrate their levels to save for the future.
He also said multiple loans were a source of poverty, luxurious expenditures and disease to many family holders.
Addressing invitees at a fundraising function for the Better Living Centre district church project in Rwenzori Filed last Sunday, Mr. Julius who asked institutions and individuals to save with his bank, said Equity bank had finalized plans to sponsor five best but needy learners in the region in addition to supporting environment conservation related projects. He later called for massive involvement in disaster mitigating plans to save lives, property and the environment. END
