    Multiple explosions rock Kampala city centre

    Two explosions have been reported at Kooki towers, opposite Central Police Station and another near Parliament in Kampala District this morning.

    Videos on social media also show cars burning near Jubilee Insurance along Parliamentary Avenue.

    Police officers have been seen evacuating people from the scene.

    Security agencies led by Police have cordoned off the area.

    In a brief interview with Kasese guide radio, the ICT and national guidance Minister, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga described the blast as un fortunate but calls for massive vigilance by Ugandans.

    Hon. Kabyanga who cut short an official assignment in Kyangwanzi district said that other than the minor bruises sustained by some staff at the ICT and National guidance ministry offices in Kampala, they were largely safe.

    He also said that whereas a meeting was on in the ICT Board room, his senior Minster, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomusi was also in Kisoro district on official duty. Hon. Kabyanga speaking……
