Primary school head teachers in Kasese district whose Primary Leaving Examinations results were withheld over suspected exam malpractices are to face the district reward and sanctions committee for disciplinary action, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the local council five chairperson for Kasese has said.
During the official release of the district PLE results over the weekend, Mr. Sylvest Baluku, the Acting Kasese district principal inspector of schools had revealed UNEB’s plans for the affected schools’ head teachers, district officials and UNEB scouts to face the national examinations security committee for a fair hearing soon.

In a separate interview with Kasese Guide Radio in Kasese town this afternoon, Mr. Muhindi, reaffirmed the position by the District Executive Committee to have the affected staff disciplined so as to set as an example for the relaxing teachers who end up promoting multi-practices during national examinations. According to Mr. Sylvest, Kasenyi primary school in Lake Katwe sub-county which registered 26 candidates, had had only one candidate receiving his exam results, as Kalonge primary school in Kyalhumba subcounty received only 23 of the 72 candidates’ results. END
