Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese district chairperson has called for shared roles in supporting older persons he said have always been abandoned home.
In his address during a one-day meeting organized National Council for Older Persons held at the district health board room today, Mr. Muhindi who called for close interventions by technical personnel and opinion leaders to change the trend, regrets the burden by older persons who are left with no help but to look after their grandchildren whose parents go for months to look for greener pasture.
