As one of the ways to improve Hygiene and sanitation in Kasese Municipality, hundreds of people joined Mt.St.Marys Hospital Diocese of Kasese Administration this morning in a cleaning exercise, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
The exercise is part of the activities in preparation for the official opening of the Hospital slated on Saturday 18th where President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is expected to officiate.
Speaking to the Media during the cleaning exercise, the chief cleaner who doubles as the Director Ripple foundation, Ms. Florence Ithungu Basaliza, urged people to embrace good sanitation and hygiene by cleaning up their areas and families.
Ms. Florence called on community leaders to encourage residents not to litter anyhow, plant trees but also appealed to the Municipal authority to provide dustbins along main streets in Kasese town. Ms. Florence speaking….
