Ms. Ruth Labongo, the Community Development Officer for Maliba Sub-county in Kasese District, has expressed concern over the rising cases of domestic violence, which she says have not only led to family breakdowns but have also negatively impacted children’s education.

While addressing members of Kasese Youth Link for Development during a one-day training workshop held at Nyamighre Primary School in Nyakiyumbu Sub-county yesterday, Ms. Labongo emphasized the need for reconciliation, love, and forgiveness within families.

Ms. Sarah Mudibya, an officer in the Child and Family Protection Unit attached to Kinyamaseke Police Post, warned married couples against poor financial accountability, envy, and infidelity particularly among men.
