    Ms. Babirye calls for community sensitization on disasters in Kasese

    kMs. Annette Babirye, the National Union of women and girls with disability program coordinator in Kasese has called for timely interventions in dealing with situations that may turn disastrous.

    Ms. Annette who was meeting the Karambi fast responders on disasters at Karambi sub county headquarters over the weekend, called for community sensitization on disasters, called for pro-active plans that would forecast, interpret and predict against calamities forced by deadly weather. Ms Annette speaking……….

    She later asked the local population to join efforts for their safety and not to wait to apportion blame when the situation turns against them.

    Mr. Dominick Mbuto, the Chairperson board of Directors for Karambi Group of people with disabilities said their efforts are always hampered by some community members who are hard to guide. END.
