Rwenzori East Region Police Mouthpiece, SP. Nelson Tumushiime has described as backwardness among residents in Kasese Municipality, who still believe in practicing witchcraft.
His comment follows a scuffle between a one Mr. Ismail Masereka- alias Richman who reportedly slapped his neighbor Ms. Janet Musoki, a mother of three children and resident of Katadoba cell in Kasese Municipality, over allegations of practicing witchcraft.
It’s alleged that Mr.Ismail had often accused his neighbors against practicing witchcraft something that sparked yesterday morning of 02nd.Feb, leading to police intervention, where the local community flexed muscles with Police after resisting arrest of the suspect.
