    The Kasese district Chairperson, Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo has called for close intervention by more Good Samaritans and institutions for food relief to the needy persons who need help during this Corona virus emergency Lockdown in the district.

    Speaking to Kasese guide radio in an interview in Kasese town yesterday, Mr. Bigogo who intends to convince the Kasese district COVID-19 task force to have an independent Food relief mobilization committee for the good of the needy asked individuals in and out of Kasese, as well as institutions to value and promote food relief mobilization which he said would save lives that have nothing to feed on.     Mr. Bigogo later told our reporter that many farms were lying empty and un attended too over rood communication challenges, adding that there was need to promote permanent settlements in some of the productive but dry areas in the district where irrigation can in future be promoted for the good of the citizens.     Earlier, Mr. Bigogo, a lawyer turned politician indicated that the current lock down had revealed that poverty levels in Kasese were still high now that most people depend on a hand to mouth life. END.
