    The Kasese district Chairperson, Mr. Geoffrey Bigogo has said that his office has already written to the office of the Prime Minister for a resettlement plan of the internally displaced people that were last week forced out of their homes in the district.

    Addressing over one thousand internally displaced people at Nkaiga Primary school in Maliba sub county, Mr. Bigogo who said that plans  to resettle people in addition to the relief items were paramount also disclosed that government had already sent an excavator to desilt Rivers and that work was going on beginning with Karusandara and Kilembe Sub Counties.     The Member of Parliament for Busongora North, Hon. William Nzoghu who called for transparency by people in camps and local leaders appreciated government intervention which he said was timely to the flood victims in need. Hon. Nzoghu speaking1…….

    The secretary for Nkaiga internally displaced camp Mr. Douglas Mukandirwa who requested for masks over Corona virus for their safety appreciated the plan for clean water filtered by an NGO that came to their rescue. Mr. Mukandirwa speaking………..

    One of the Victims at Nkaiga camp Mr. Godfrey Baluku whose house was completely destroyed asked Government to put mechanisms of re-a locating some of them whose pieces and houses he said were swept away. Mr. Godfrey speaking………

    The district chairman`s Tour yesterday was aimed at fact finding of the damages by the floods in Bwesumbu and Maliba sub counties. END.
