Mr. Peter Sunday Kakule calls for joint intervention by G8 members into what has been described as another Kitezi landfill that is forming at selected locations in Mpondwe-Lhubiriha in Kasese district.
He said the situation that will end up threatening tourism and investors in the constituency, should not be left for the single administrative unit to deal with but a concern for all.
In his address to the G8 members during their 5th summit held in Isango sub-county on Monday, Mr. Peter Kakule who is the G8 Chairperson was concerned that garbage had turned into a public concern in a town council that they were pushing to be elevated to a Municipality.

An accountant turned politician later asked the local community members to include water harvesting tanks into their house construction budgets as means to cut down expenses on water, as well as controlling water flows that culminate into soil erosions and stagnant waters. END
