Police in Rwenzori East Region has warned motorists against misuse of the traffic rules so as to save the lives of the learners going to school for their third term, as well as other road users.
Speaking to Kasese Guide Radio last evening, the Police spokesperson for the Region, SP Nelson Tumusiime, said traffic police was on full alert to deal with errant Boda-boda riders and taxi drivers who may want to over speed and recklessly load passengers and luggage.
He also asked parents to be more conscious of whom they entrust their children with to school before it’s too late now that some commercial riders and drivers want to make excessive profits at the expense of the innocent lives. SP Tumusime two……….
He has asked members of the public to report to police any driver or rider that is acting in a manner that risks lives. END.
