Many teachers of Science across the country have missed out on the recently approved salary enhancement that created waves of anger and celebrations in the education sector.
Science teachers were supposed to receive their first enhanced pay at the end of July, but celebrations were put off when the ministry of public service delayed sending out new pay structures to their counterparts in finance through by Tuesday of this week, a number of local governments started effecting payments.

Ms Yunia Nakabonge, a Mathematics teacher at Wairaka college in Jinja says whereas most of her colleagues had received the increases, she was left in frustration as she saw her colleagues withdrawing their enhanced salaries from the bank.
