Most schools in Kasese district are closed today as announced by the protesting teachers, a mini-survey by Kasese Guide radio has revealed.
The strike announced by the teachers` Union this week was in response to the recent pledge by government to increase the salaries of only science teachers, a move their union has described as biased and inhuman.
