Muhokya town council has commenced with plans to open up community access roads to ease communication, Kasese Guide Radio has learnt.
In an interview with Kasese Guide Radio shortly after his address to council yesterday, Mr. Robert Guma, the local council three chairperson for Muhokya town council said using the fifty million shillings from the Emergency road fund, a number of roads were being worked on including the Muhokya-Irrigation road and the Muhokya down to Queen Elizabeth national park among others, had been opened.
He also said Uganda Wild Life Authority has cleared his office to divert rain waters that have been inconveniencing the local community of Kahendero mainly during the rainy season. Mr. Guma speaking1……
Mr. Guma who warned the community against conflicts, later commended the Kasese district local government for agreeing to repair part of the irrigation scheme that was damaged by the heavy rains about two months ago. Mr. Guma speaking2……..
