As more Members of forum for democratic change-FDC that reportedly failed in the recent party primaries bounce back on independent ticket, the NRM candidates are busy picking nomination forms from NRM secretariat in Kyadondo Kampala and Kasese NRM offices ahead of the party primaries.

Today over five candidates who lost the FDC party primaries in Kasese district have declared their intention to contest on independent ticket in 2021 general elections.

Speaking to the press in Kasese town, Sadrack Bakulirahe declared his intention as an independent candidate for Busongora County, south, Joseph Kule for district councilor Rukoki sub-county and Ronald Bwambale Kabuku LCV chairperson among others, with both citing irregularities in recent FDC party primaries.

However, candidates that have picked nomination forms for the NRM primaries are, Sarah Ithungu Masereka Baleke for Kasese Woman MP, Thembo Mujungu Busongora South Member of parliament, John Kimadi district councilor Muhokya sub-county, Godfry Baluku Kabyanga, Mayor Kasese Municipality,  Dr. Rude Julius Monday for Member of Parliament Bukonzo county East and Emmanuel Mukenga Hubs for MP Busongora County south.
