By Kyamanduma Patrick,
There was reported uncertainty over the burial ground of a five months’ child after its paternity was in doubt, causing what many perceived to be mere drama.
The Railway Ward councilor who doubles as the Kasese Municipal Secretary for Works and technical services, Hon. John Siriwayo called for discipline and a sense of humanity by parents, adding that Mr. Nason Muhindo doubted having sired the child, wondering why its mum picked another man hardly five months after the child was born.
According to Hon. Siriwayo, Mr. Nason thinks the action of the deceased’s mum at short notice was a clear indication that he was not the father of the child. Hon. Siriwayo speaking…..
The Kikonzo Cell Vice Chairperson, Ms. Jesca Njike had earlier told our reporter that the delay to deliver the body was as a result of failure to locate in time the said father of the deceased, as well as the burial grounds. Ms. Njike speaking………
Hon. Cecilia Biira, a local resident in the area said such scenarios were a manifestation that the said father is either errant in his village of origin, doubtful for siring the innocent child or has a poor rapport with his family back home. Hon. Cecilia speaking……
May the soul of the deceased rest in peace. END
