    Ministry of Health confirms new 81 covid-19 case

    The ministry of health has confirmed 81 new coronavirus cases in Uganda, bringing the total to 127,877.

    The ministry said this morning that the tests it ran on December 8 confirmed these new cases out of the 5,038 samples collected that day.

    While breaking down the new cases, the ministry said Wakiso has 46, Kampala 17 and Masaka three.

    Soroti, Kisoro, Mbarara and Nakapiripirit have two cases each, while Napak, Amuru, Kyotera, Oyam and Kiryandongo have one each.

    The ministry reported two more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the total to 3,265

    It said that those who had recovered from COVID-19 are 97, 739 and that a total of over seven million vaccine doses had been administered in the country.

    In his national addresses recently, President Yoweri Museveni said that by the end of December 2021, more than 12 million Ugandans should have been vaccinated against COVID-19. End.
