    Ministry of energy is in talks with the fuel supplier & dealers to reduce on fuel prices-Kabyanga

    The Ministry of energy is in talks with the fuel supplier and dealers in Uganda about the possible reduction of fuel prices now that the flow had gone normal, the Sate Minister for ICT and National guidance, Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga has said.

    In a phone interview with this radio last evening, Hon. Kabyanga said the current mild reductions of fuel prices are caused by the fuel dealers who insist they were disposing off their old costly stock.

    Hon. Kabyanga said he was confident that the situation would normalize soon now that the fuel dealers were ready to cooperate and adjust at the right time. Hon. Kabyanga 1………….

    He reminded Ugandans that fuel prices in Ugandan were determined by the producers and suppliers though Government has the powers for interventions should conditions of business threaten the operations of the country. Hon. Kabyanga speaking2……….

    Earlier yesterday, a bode-Boda rider at Kalitus stage in Kasese Municipality, Mr. Sajoni Bayisohera Busongeru calls for urgent intervention against the raised fuel prices which he said was partly forcing the high transport fares amongst the poor community members who can’t easily afford.
