A Team of experts from the Ministry of education and sports have camped in Kasese district for one week on post disaster needs assessment among schools in the district that weere recently affected by the devastated floods.
Addressing various stakeholders at the Mayors garden yesterday shortly after visiting the epicenter for the disaster in Bulembia Division Kasese Municipality, the Minister of state for Higher Education Hon. Dr. John Muyingo said on addition to re-construction of affected schools they are also going to put modalities of planning to improve education.

The Former defence Minister and Ugandan ambassador to China, Dr. Chrispus Kiyonga asked the ministry of education to borrow a leaf from the health ministry that implemented the construction of health centre threes in every five kilometer in hilly areas.

Earlier, in his report the Chief administrative officer Kasese district, Mr. Asuman Hamis Masereka had reported that nine schools were severely affected while others have been used as isolation centres.
