No serious criminal case was registered by Police during the thanksgiving ceremony that was held at Kaguta playgrounds in Nyakatonzi subcounty in Kasese district, SP. Nelson Tumusiime, the Rwenzori East Regional Police spokesperson, has said.
On Saturday last week, the two sons of Kasese district, Gen. Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, the State Minister for trade, Industry and Cooperatives and former Chief of Defense Forces, and Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State Minister for ICT and National Guidance, organized a thanksgiving function Presided over by President Yoweri Museveni.
Addressing the media at the regional police headquarters yesterday, SP Tumushime who called for vigilance as the world nears the busier Xmas period, said timely night patrols, public order and strategic deployments by security eased the situation at the thanksgiving function.

He later revealed that one Bashir 35, a local resident of Katwe-Kabatooro town council in Kasese district, had drowned in Lake Edward after an attack by a croc on their canoe but that the deceased’s colleague, one Mr. Muculezi, had survived. SP. Tumusiime speaking2…….
