Hon. Alice Kaboyo, the State Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister for Rwenzori-Luweero Triangle, has pledged support to the nine families of the people who were murdered by the National Army of the Liberation of Uganda-NALU, with a call on relatives of deceased and the community to embrace forgiveness and Reconciliation.
Speaking to the media shortly after handing over fifty Irons sheets to each of the families of the deceased during the memorial Mass and independence celebrations held at Kitholhu subcounty headquarters in Kasese district yesterday, Hon. Kaboyo the Chief Guest, also announced a five million shillings support fund to each of the families.
She also said 1.5 million shillings in addition would be given to the mothers in the same families soon. Hon. Kaboyo speaking………..
Hon. Godfrey Kabyanga, the State minister for ICT and National Guidance had earlier excited the crowd when he revealed that he was done with the three assignments; roofing Kasisyo Catholic Church and Mobilizing the Office of the President for support to the nine families whose heads were killed among others, given to him by Rev. Fr. Mark Bwambale Kyabughawakera, the Parish Priest for Kyabikere in the Diocese of Kasese. Hon.Kabyanga speaking……
In his speech earlier, Mr. Erifaz Muhindi, the Kasese district local council five chairperson, asked Hon. Kaboyo to back efforts for a health four and a government aided secondary school in the greater Kitholhu subcounty, as well as considering Kasese district for a special fund for the district rehabilitation from Rwenzori-Luwero projects.
