Joint efforts are required for positive mindset about the reasons for voting for political leadership in Uganda.
Addressing a stake holders’ dialogue at Verina gardens in Kasese Municipality this morning, Mr. Zepher Mubigwa, the Kasese Deputy Resident District Commissioner in charge of Busongora said time was now for the public to know the importance of voting into office focused political leaders.
He also called for double efforts into civic education which he said should be well interpreted to empower the illiterate and less exposed voters in the country side. Mr. Mubigwa speaking……
Rev.Fr. Expedito Masereka, the General Secretary for the inter religious council of Uganda in Kasese who doubles as the Pastoral Coordinator for the Diocese of Kasese blamed the challenges in voting political leaders in the district to poverty and low education levels that force many to make un informed decisions during national polls.
